Frequently asked questions

Wax and Glaco questions, short answers

What detailers and shops ask us most often about Fusso Coat, Glaco, waxes by paint colour and the routine.

Does Fusso Coat really last 12 months?

That is the manufacturer’s stated duration in normal conditions, comparable to a professional coating, thanks to the PTFE layer that repels water and oil. Frequent washes with harsh detergents, outdoor parking and poorly decontaminated paint shorten it; Rain Drop at every wash extends it.

How do I prepare the glass for Glaco?

The glass must be free of road film, limescale and old coatings: Glaco Glass Compound Roll On (built-in felt) or Glass Compound Z (sponge), rinse and dry. Then apply the Glaco, let it cure for the stated time and buff with a microfibre. To maintain, Glaco De Cleaner at every wash.

What is the Japanese way of washing?

The shampoo goes directly on the sponge, not in the bucket: Kiwami has little foam and lots of wax, so it washes and adds gloss in one step and reinforces the protection already on the paint. The three-layer QJUTSU sponge only lets foam out and the grit-guard bucket traps the sand at the bottom.

Can I use the QJUTSU clay on waxed or coated paint?

Yes: the QJUTSU Clay Bar is gentle and compatible with waxes and coatings. It only needs water with shampoo as a lubricant. For heavy contamination (tar, sap), use New Pitch Cleaner first.
